Who Can Be a Member?

Anyone may become a member of Kansas City Community Gardens.
 
What Does a Member Get?
All members are entitled to receive:
 
* 10 packages of seeds (your choice)
* 1 bag of fertlizer (approx. 5lbs)
* Community gardening newsletter
*  Discount on additional seeds, fertlizer
* Discount on vegetable plants
* Tiller loan privelege
 
Group gardens (anywhere in the metro area) are eligible for tilling. Garden tilling for individuals is available for qualifying residents of Kansas City, Missouri.
 
Where Can Members Garden?
Community gardeners can have gardens in their own backyards, or on nearby vacant lots, or at community sites.
 
When Can We Start?
NOW!! Get a jump on the garden season and get ready for next spring.  You can sign up for your membership NOW.  Our office hours are Monday thru Friday from 9am to 5pm. Or just click on the link above to download KCCG's Yellow Card Membership Form and mail it to KCCG, 6917 Kensington, KCMO 64132.   
 
How much does it cost?
If your monthly income is below the CDBG income guidelines, you can qualify for "green-card membership". If your monthly income is above the income guidelines you can obtain a yellow-card membership".
 
In order to qualify for the green-card membership, you must bring proof of income.
